CENTRAL PACIFIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEMBERS: Daniel and Leah Woodley from Commercial Kitchen Marketing have helped to put together a fantastic program important for tourism in our region! The Costa Rica Serv Safe Certification Program has a purpose to create a method to train instructions for teaching of Serv Safe Food Handling and Serv Safe Alcohol in Costa Rica. The Mission states that safe food handling procedures is essential for the growth of tourism and promotion of safe food preparation methods. The idea is to teach several existing teachers from Jacó the National Restaurant Association Serv Safe course and to accredit them to teach the class locally to students and businesses in the Central Pacific region. Fernando Pusey Hall, the Director; and Milena Maria Madrigal Avila and Mayra Yansie Sandoval, teachers from the High School in Jaco were selected to fly to Washington DC to take courses at the National Restaurant Association Headquarters last week. Congrats!
